Well... this here is my final blog post for this year. In summary, there were some ups and downs, failures and successes, and a couple changes in topics. Although, despite these things, the main takeaway from this experience was that I learned many new things. Sometimes I learned the difficulties in achieving my goals as I expected prior to beginning this. Other times, I learned valuable skills that I can apply to my hobbies and my school work in the following years. This was the most meaningful part of this innovation experience. I hope that in later years as I further my education, I continue to learn new things and to broaden my horizons.

Again this week, I'll be working on the Audio/Video aspect of Ms. Niesen's project. I ran into a bit of a problem last week with some audio equipment not working as I has originally planned. This week I will be focusing on how to fix that problem with some new technology I have sourced. Stay tuned for more on this project next week.
As of now, I'm still dedicating my time to Ms. Niesen's side project for me, and I'm excited to put my skills to actual use for a little while. I have gathered everything I need to professionally record the upperclassmen projects Ms. Niesen has lined up, and everything should be in place by Thursday. During Innovation Time this week, I plan to test record some audio and footage to get a feel for what the real thing should be like when the time comes. I'm pretty excited to be helping with this, so it should go pretty well.
This'll be a bit of a short blog post since there's not much to say, but I'll be directing my attention to the live-streaming setup Ms. Niesen requested some ideas on once again. I'll be back next time to let you know if this will be continuing next week still, or just back to the same old stuff. Stay tuned for future posts.
This past week during innovation time, I dedicated my efforts towards something different. Ms. Niesen came to me and asked me to do some research on what it would take to live stream certain presentations for the senior projects. I happily agreed, and found some tips and necessary elements for what Ms. Niesen required. This research will also be my task during innovation time this week as well. Stay tuned for more on the Photoshop and Sony Vegas workshop coming after this week.
So far, I have taken a few hours to watch tutorials on the basics of Photoshop 2017 CC, and I've become slightly familiar with it. As I spend time with these videos, I hope to become pretty skilled with the program. Once I feel comfortable with Photoshop, I plan on moving to Sony Vegas tutorials. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks.
So to hone my editing skills, and to make my videos and images look more professional, I'm gonna be taking a couple online "classes" over the next few weeks on Lynda.com. I'll be taking one for Sony Vegas, video editing, and one for Photoshop. I'm actually really excited to learn more about the tools I'm gonna be using so much. After this, I expect to feel more confident in my abilities to produce better content.
Not much happened with the Channel this week. As I mentioned last week, I've been pretty swamped with other work this week, so there won't be much done with the project this week. But hopefully by the end of the week I'll be back to normal work. Thanks for stickin' around! See ya next week.
As of now, I have been able to recreate the lost footage from the previous trailer, and revert it back to its non-corrupt state. Now, the footage is rendering and putting itself in a format that is uploadable. unfortunately, with a full plate in and out of school currently, I likely won't be able to upload and display the trailer until March 11th. By then, all other work will be out of the way, and I can work solely on this. Thanks for holdin' out so long, and see ya next week for another blog.
So, as you know, last week I was just about done with my channel preview for YouTube. Well, to my misfortune, There were a couple of file errors in my Hard Drive, and parts of the trailer are now corrupt. Now, this is not the end of the world, and I'm not hanging my head in shame, it'll just take a little while longer for me to replace that lost footage. Stick with me through this little speed bump, and the trailer will be better than ever quite soon. See ya next week.
